MISSION
Focus Digital Security were invited to tender for the electronic security services of BNZ's proposed new store in the Northwest Shopping Centre in Auckland. The tender included CCTV, Access Control and Intruder alarm systems and required each of these systems to meet BNZ's extensive security specifications. Focus had previously successfully worked with the BNZ on their Executive Protection Program and ATM Channels Division.
The NorthWest Shopping Centre development at Westgate is nestled amongst the new Westgate Town Centre development; NorthWest Shopping Centre has a net rentable area of over 27,000m2 and includes a Countdown supermarket, a Farmers department store, and approximately 100 specialty retail stores. NorthWest Shopping Centre is, owned and managed by NZX-listed Stride.
SOLUTION
Focus Digital Security were proud to be awarded the contract to supply electronic security services for the Northwest Store; this was the first time in many years that services such as these had been awarded to an integerator outside of BNZ's existing preferred installer list.
The solution consisted of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms. Focus were also able to add further value to the BNZ by working in conjunction with Focus's sister companies SelectaDNA and Safe & Lock Services. Focus installed the SelecataDNA Hydro systems and ensured that these were interfaced with the other electronic security services and were correctly commissioned as well as working closely with Safe & Lock Services to ensure that the Electronic Cash Drawers (ECD's) and electronic locks were installed and commissioned without a hitch and with minimal project management resource.
RESULT
BNZ conducted a full pre-opening audit of the workmanship and commissioning process, approving the project as meeting their high standards of complex programming and impeccable installation practices. The project was completed on time and within budget, leading to a positive result and a happy client.
The installed systems have been working well with no reported faults or return visits required and Focus continue to work with the BNZ on a regular basis.
